...AND HE JUST SAT THERE.

This fan-fiction is based on a specific request. Character names are deliberately made familiar, but plot may not follow factual events. Phil had always been among the boys in the back row. Ever since he began his primary school years, he had never had the guts to sit in front of the class. For him, sitting at the back allowed him to see everyone in the class - or so he would say, if someone asked why. Truth be told, he also had a diary he would occasionally write on in class, and back seats spared him from being the boys' laughing stock just because of his 'girly' diary routine. Anyways, his diary entries were weird in one way or another. He would always note down even th e most trivial occurrences of the day: Joe soundlessly ‘ opens a bag of chips ’ as an unaware teacher continues explaining to the class; Jim would surreptitiously ‘ whip out his phone from his pocket ’, his most loyal online cheat sheet. Jim would have the perfect score for the test then, if he h...

A SLIPPERY LIFE

It was raining cats and dogs. On the road, I was walking on a drenched pathway, and the slippery concrete made me occasionally lose my grip on the ground. Although I did not fall, other people walking along with me on the road also faced this problem – even several tumbled. I headed to a nearby shelter, and waited for the rain to cease. Pedestrians walking along the pathway instantly rushed to take cover from the rain. Cars on the road accelerated furiously, slicing the rain with zooming velocity.  The raging gale blew down the upright palm trees across the road. Everything was deluged by the heavy precipitation.

CAMPING

Through her painstaking effort in seeking permission from the teacher-in-charge, the Frisbee team was granted the permission to have a 3-day camp in the school during the term break. The teacher was convinced it was necessary “to promote bonding among the members so as to enhance teamwork,” just as she said. However, she knew that's not true. She knew that this camp was just all about her getting closer to him. “Come guys, let’s gather round in one huge circle,” said Jazlyn, the vice-captain, while putting a glass bottle on the floor. Charlotte first met him on the first day of school. In the canteen – typical of a place where love at first sight begins – she was talking to her newly-made classmates, when suddenly a view of a bloke stole her attention from a corner. He seemed reserved and passive, uncharacteristic of ...

IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT

Contains sexual imagery. Please read at your own risk. You have been warned. Anyway... The emptiness of the mansion had rendered William apprehensive. It was past midnight, and William knew it's high time his mistress, Caitlyn, should have been home.  He had been sitting impatiently in the parlour, stalwartly attired in his butler suit, eagerly awaiting the arrival of his outgoing mistress. Although the longing seemed never-ending, William understood perfectly that Caitlyn was never one to leave early in a party. She would even drink a lot. William had often encountered Caitlyn inebriated, sauntering toward home recklessly as she was unable to regain her balance and struggling to go to her own bedroom without William's guidance.  But this time, it was too long a time to wait, so long that William was left thinking Caitlyn may have gone out for more than a sip of aperitif.
